Engagements

MVC's services are delivered through defined engagements, each built around a specific business question, with a clear scope, duration and deliverables. Most clients start with an Executive Briefing.

Start here

Executive Briefing

A focused half- or full-day session with your leadership team on a technology, digital transformation, AI or commercialization challenge. We frame the problem with your own examples, challenge the assumptions and agree the most valuable next step.

½–1 day · Leadership team

Discuss a briefing

Digital Transformation Assessment

Is your digital transformation building the foundation AI needs to create value?

What the engagement covers

An independent executive assessment of whether your business priorities, organization, data and applications are ready for AI to create value beyond the pilot — showing what is already in place, which structural gaps hold value back, and what to change first.

You receive
  • Transformation heat map
  • Structural gaps
  • Priority actions
  • Recommended next steps

Typically 5–7 weeks

Discuss an assessment →

AI Scale Readiness Review

Your pilots work. Will they work across the enterprise?

What the engagement covers

Many digital and AI pilots succeed and then stall. We assess your pilots against the conditions enterprise deployment actually requires, and identify what to scale, what to fix and what to stop.

You receive
  • Scale-readiness assessment
  • Critical dependencies
  • Scale, fix or stop recommendations
  • Readiness criteria for future pilots

Typically 3–5 weeks

Discuss AI at scale →

Digital Transformation Blueprint

How should your transformation be designed and sequenced?

What the engagement covers

Turn strategy into an executable programme. We identify where material value lies, redesign how work gets done, define the organization, data and applications needed to support it, and sequence the work in waves that each build on the last.

You receive
  • Prioritized value opportunities
  • Future ways of working
  • Organizational requirements
  • Enabling data and application architecture
  • Wave-based roadmap

Typically 8–12 weeks

Discuss a transformation →

AI-Ready Data & Application Roadmap

Can your data and technical capabilities be reused by people and AI?

What the engagement covers

A technology-neutral roadmap from fragmented data and locked-in applications to reusable information and capabilities that people, workflows and AI can call. It builds on the platforms you already have and grows through real use cases, so each new AI application is easier to deliver than the last.

You receive
  • Current-state assessment
  • Target design
  • Governance requirements
  • Application and capability priorities
  • Wave-sequenced roadmap

Typically 6–10 weeks

Discuss your data and applications →
Now accepting a limited number of pilot clients

Exploration Evidence Review

Before you acquire more data, what can the evidence you already have tell you?

What the engagement covers

Much of the evidence behind the next discovery may already exist, scattered across internal archives and accessible public sources. Before new acquisition, we revisit that evidence, earlier interpretations and the assumptions behind past decisions — and separate what can be answered now from what genuinely needs new data.

You receive
  • Evidence map
  • Assumptions worth revisiting
  • Question-by-question evidence gaps
  • Acquisition-scope recommendation
Discuss a pilot engagement →
Now accepting a limited number of pilot clients

AI-Ready Production Review

Have you made your production knowledge usable by AI?

What the engagement covers

Starting from one consequential production decision, we assess whether your operating history, intervention outcomes, diagnoses and model assumptions are accessible with their meaning intact — and whether the engineering calculations needed to test a hypothesis can be called within a controlled workflow.

You receive
  • Decision-focused evidence map
  • Intervention review, including sustained response and negative results
  • Data, context and engine reachability assessment
  • First workflow to pilot
  • Plan to retain the connections
Discuss a pilot engagement →
Based on MVC's proprietary TPMP Method

Technology Investment Calibration

Is your technology investment serving the company you are — or building the company your strategy requires?

What the engagement covers

We measure how your technology portfolio is balanced between technology-led and need-led investment, compare it with the organization you are today and the one your strategy intends to create, and set out the options for recalibrating it — including the strategic trade-offs associated with each.

You receive
  • Current technology-investment mix
  • Strategic alignment diagnosis
  • Calibration scenarios
  • Investment-reallocation options

Typically 4–6 weeks

Discuss technology investment →

Technology Position & Value Chain Map

Where does your technology stand today — and where can it create value across the energy value chain?

What the engagement covers

An assessment of your capabilities, projects, references and past commercialization efforts, combined with a map of where your technology can create technical, operational and economic value across the energy value chain — with attention to where it can be embedded in existing client workflows rather than sold as a standalone product.

You receive
  • Strategic baseline
  • Lessons learned
  • Value-chain application map
  • Workflow-integration opportunities

Typically 4–6 weeks

Discuss your technology →

Market, Client & Competitive Assessment

Who will buy it, what will make them adopt it — and what are they using instead?

What the engagement covers

Structured interviews with operators and industry stakeholders to establish real needs, who owns the problem and the budget, how procurement works and what blocks adoption — combined with an assessment of competitors and of the alternative technologies and workflows clients already rely on.

You receive
  • Interview findings
  • Prioritized client needs and adoption barriers
  • Competitive and alternative-solution landscape
  • Priority segments, markets and entry sequence

Typically 6–8 weeks

Discuss your market →

Product & Portfolio Definition

What exactly should you sell?

What the engagement covers

Turn technology and data capabilities into clearly defined products that solve specific client problems, fit client workflows, and can be positioned, sold, delivered and scaled consistently — built around a scalable core that adapts to different applications and clients.

You receive
  • Product portfolio
  • Value propositions
  • Scope and deliverables per product
  • Capability and partnership requirements

Typically 4–6 weeks

Discuss your products →

Go-to-Market & Business Model Design

How should it reach the market — and how will it make money?

What the engagement covers

Define target accounts, positioning, routes to market, pricing and contracting, and the role of your own sales team — and compare alternative business models, from project sales and subscriptions to partnerships, licensing and vertical integration, using selected client pilots where they help validate the approach.

You receive
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Recommended business models
  • Partnership options
  • Role of your sales organization
  • Pilot and early-sales plan

Typically 6–8 weeks

Discuss go-to-market →

Ongoing executive advisory

Diagnosis and design are only the start. MVC can stay alongside your leadership team while decisions are implemented.

Executive Transformation Steering

Independent senior support through implementation — keeping the transformation focused on adoption and realized value rather than programme activity, and giving leadership the evidence to decide what to scale, adjust or stop.

Typically 6–24 months
Part-time retainer

Technology Strategy Advisory

Ongoing executive advice on technology portfolio and investment. As your organization moves toward its strategy, MVC periodically reassesses whether technology investment should hold its course or be recalibrated.

Retained advisory

Commercial Development & Execution

Hands-on commercial leadership to take your products to market — building the pipeline, developing key accounts, leading proposals and negotiations, establishing partnerships, and building the team and capabilities to sustain the business, working alongside your own sales and technical teams.

Typically 12+ months
Retained
